Places for Penguins Update - ​24/07/24

Over the past 6 years a small team of locals have dedicated themselves to regularly checking and clearing a trap line that has been set around the Ōwhiro Bay coastline. We regularly catch mice and rats, along with an occasional stoat! The team carry out this rather gruesome task in order to help protect our native wildlife from the devastating impact of these introduced species.
