The Ōwhiro Bay Residents Association (OBRA) is a grassroots group working to connect, advocate for and celebrate the people of Ōwhiro Bay.
Advocacy In Action
We’re committed to making sure the voice of Ōwhiro Bay is heard on the issues that matter most. OBRA regularly engages in council submissions, community planning and environmental advocacy. Our goal? A thriving, safe and sustainable future for generations to come.
Certificate of Incorporation
Ōwhiro Bay Residents Association is incorporated under the Incorporated Societies Act of 2022.
Our Constitution
Ōwhiro Bay Residents Association renewed our constitution as part of our reincorporation under the Incorporated Societies Act of 2022.
Annual General Meetings
Ōwhiro Bay Residents Association holds an Annual General Meeting each year.
Your OBRA committee
The Committee elected at the 2025 Annual General Meeting are:
Chair: Sue Reid
Secretary: Lucy Cook
Treasurer: Laith Kourkgy
Committee: Alison Forrest, Angela Wilson, Annie Hammond, Stacey Parbhu, Hannah Quigan, Jeremy Prebble, Cheryl Smith, and Ray Yates. Chris Reed joined the committee in June 2026.
Alison and Angela represent the community at the Community Advisory Group for the Southern Landfill.
The committee meets on the fourth Thursday of each month.
