ADVANCED NOTICE: Roadworks in your area – Ohiro Road (UPDATE from Fulton Hogan)
What’s happening?
Wellington City Council has contracted Fulton Hogan to complete road resurfacing which will have an asphalt surface.his work will be completed as highlighted on the map. You will receive another notice nearer the time detailing the start of work and the section being worked on.

WHERE: Ohiro Road, between Todman and Cleveland Street
START: First or Second Week of April 2024
FINISH: Second or Third Week of April 2024
WORK HOURS: Between 7pm - 5 AM
Delays?
Some work is weather dependant and in the event of unsuitable weather or other unforeseen circumstances the contractor might encounter the work may be delayed, if you require an update, please use contact details below.
Please ensure your vehicle is parked clear of the worksite.
To do this work we need the work area to be clear of vehicles and other obstructions so parking will be affected Please see the map for the work and no parking areas. If your vehicle is parked in the highlighted area, we may have to tow it to a suitable park nearby. Should your vehicle be moved. please check nearby streets first before ringing the contractor listed below.
Will these roadworks affect access to my property?
At times during phases of work you may experience some delays with access, If you have to leave your property and access is obstructed please speak to our staff onsite. In the case of an emergency, essential services will be given priority. If you are expecting a delivery or have a tradesperson needing access, please contact us and we will navigate them through the work site. Rubbish collection and recycling will continue as usual.
Will there be impact to bus services?
Bus services will be affected, and a detour will be in place. Please check on the Metlink services for all details before traveling.
What traffic management will be used during this work?
Traffic management will be in place. This will be accompanied by a reduced speed limit. Pedestrians and cyclists will still be able to use the route but please follow the directions of our staff when passing through the work site.
Take care
To avoid trekking dirt, bitumen, or other materials inside, please try not to walk on open or recently sealed surfaces. If you must, check or remove your shoes before going indoors or getting into vehicles. For advice on removing trekked material, call the contact listed below.
